HP, paper bakelites

Paper bakelites are made by laminating thin layers of paper with resins after which the piece is pressed into its shape under high pressure. Bakelities are thermosetting plastics so they can't be shaped afterwards with heat or pressure. Paper bakelites are used mainly due to their good insulating properties. Different resins bring different properties to paper bakelite. Paper bakelite connectors provide alternatives for both low and high voltage applications. The most used paper bakelite is Etronit IIQ which works well for low-voltage applications.
